The Impacts
of Trauma
In this workshop, participants develop a shared language and understanding of trauma, as well as the biopsychosocial impacts of trauma. Particular attention is paid to the neurobiology of trauma and how it changes the nervous system.
Workshop Highlights
Far Reaching Impacts
Participants learn about the impacts of trauma on the physiological, psychological, and social levels. Systemic and historical trauma is covered.
Vicarious Trauma
Participants learn the impacts of secondary traumatic stress and vicarious trauma on providers. Participants conduct a self assessment and develop their own self care plans.
