Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR) Gatekeeper Training

Time: 2 Hours

QPR is an evidence based practice that, much like CPR, is accessible to anyone and can save lives. Learn to recognize the warning signs of suicide, offer hope to people contemplating suicide, and get help for those who are suffering.

An indepth look at the factors that influence and impact a person's experience of mental health crisis. The training covers topics such as:

Impacts of Trauma

Time: 2 Hours

An overview of what trauma is, and how it impacts youth. This training looks at how trauma"shows up" in everyday settings such as school, home, and residential care. Staff gain insight into how the brain is changed by trauma and how to effectively support youth with regulating intense emotions.
